The exclusive Easy Open Lift system allows you to open and extend the cantilever arm in one simple motion. A 73-pound resin fill-able base (base fits up to 100 lbs. of sand or gravel for a total weight of 173lbs) securely weighs this umbrella down but the manufacturer cautions leaving this umbrella open while unattended in inclement weather.
